Our Staff

We're here to help! Meet the team:

Bethany

Owner

Bethany began working in the antiquarian book market in 1995 after graduating with double majors in Philosophy and English Literature from Nazareth College of Rochester. She moved to Geneva in 2007 and opened Stomping Grounds in 2010. The store allows her to combine her love of old books and home decor.

Maggie

Head Framer

Maggie is a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she majored in Art and Philosophy. Her favorite activities are framing, crafting, and taking pictures of her dog and cat, Cleo and Wallace (and maybe more soon...).

Chelsea

Design Assistant

Chelsea has backgrounds in display design, floral design, and photography. She received her degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology majoring in Photography. Chelsea is a proud cat lady, and loves gardening, reading, and crafting.

Barrow

Sales Assistant

Barrow is a student at St. Lawrence University. She loves reading, drinking tea, needle felting, and both playing and listening to music. If your band needs a drummer, she's available!

Molly

Sales Assistant

Molly is a recent graduate of Marcus Whitman High School. She loves to spend her time crocheting and has a cat named Richard. Her favorite artists are Hozier and Chappell Roan.

Lionel

Sales assistant

Lionel is an upper-classman attending Geneva High School. She has many ambitions, but most of all wishes to be a novelist and finds it very beneficial to have been raised in a bookstore. In their free time, Lionel loves to write music, draw, and do other normal teenagery things.
